I have never used an EDMS solution. How easy is AccentData Manager for first time users?

R

Our system was designed based on the end-user in mind. At the end of the day most people just want to get information in, share and manage that information with ease, and retrieve the information if needed. The complexity of our system was built into the architecture on the front end so day to day users have a simple, intuitive yet effective tool for handling their documents.

What types of documents can AccentData Manager manage?

Word processing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, reports, forms, audio, video,  CAD files, drawings, photographs and many other styles of electronic documents can be stored in their native file format  and managed, shared, and redistributed in AccentData Manager.

 

 

Q

How many versions of a document can be stored? Can I revert back to an older version of a document?

R

Keep an unlimited amount of versions if you wish. Of course an Administrator will want to help define the parameters for version control. Revert back to any version at any time if you like.

Can I create forms in AccentData Manager or do I have to create them outside of your system and then import them in?

R

Using our document template library you can create your forms in a global template library once and have them available inside for quick access at any time. We can also generate electronic forms automatically.

How do I get information into AccentData Manager?

R

There are many different ways to get your information in. Scan, drag and drop, print through a virtual image printer, and do a simple import just to name a few. We give you many tools to help with getting content in including batch scan and index, back filer, and OCR.

What are the system requirements for AccentData Manager.

R

We recommend using dedicated servers for the Accent Server and Database Server, but many of our customers use machines that are also being used for other purposes. Database: We recommend using a scalable industry standard database engine such as MS SQL Server 7.x, 2000 OR MySQL 4.1.14 or higher.  For the end users any internet ready PC using Windows XP or higher and we recommend 512 MB or higher.

What type of security do you have using AccentData Manager?

R

All files in AccentData Manager are encrypted and compressed and users can be authenticated through Active Directory Services. We can get very granular with the security and who has rights to see or make changes to documents.

 

 

Q

Is there a way to track the history of a document in AccentData Manager?

R

We have complete audit trail logging so you can determine when a file was created, who has viewed it, made changes, updated, printed, emailed or moved any file. Files are checked in our out and can be opened for view only if someone already has a file checked out.
